It is essentially the old home remedy of using boric acid suppositories with the added benefit of soothing herbs and support. I suppose you could build these capsules by hand with OTC boric acid and various herbs. I find it much less irritating than direct use of boric acid. . . In fact, it's just soothing. As someone who as been struggling for years to keep yeast in check, especially after the reports, pre-menstrually and during or after antibiotic treatment, it is a great (if somewhat expensive) products . I have been using one for a few nights in a row if I'm feeling a little off balance and I have not had a yeast infection to full in more than a year.
